Mutual antenna coupling influence on the channel correlation matrix for linear antenna arrays

The paper presents the results of research electromagnetic mutual coupling impact on structure correlation matrices in multiantenna communication systems. Classical structures employed most up-to-date systems descriptions and designs usually assume unit autocorrelation exponentially decreasing cross-correlation antenna elements receiving/transmitting array. At same time numerous studies had shown that these assumptions may not hold under certain conditions. performed relates effects with imbalances array impedance matrix terms interaction upon diagonal (autocorrelation) off-diagonal (cross-correlation) matrix, depending geometry array: number their spatial separation. To exemplify quantitative analysis was carried out for 5G NR #78 band, being one wideband subchannels Under-6 GHz regime obtained also justified applicability banded model wireless communications.
